Additional Woofie’s Mobile Pet Spa Terms
Client Responsibility & Health Disclosure
The Client represents that they are the responsible party for the pet being groomed and that the pet is current on all legally required rabies vaccinations.
The Client further represents that all known medical conditions, injuries, behavioral concerns, sensitivities, allergies, skin conditions, and any history of aggression have been fully disclosed to Woofie’s prior to the grooming appointment.
Pets exhibiting aggressive, unsafe, or unmanageable behavior may be refused service at Woofie’s discretion.
Mobile Grooming Van Safety
For safety and liability reasons, no unauthorized person is permitted inside the grooming van while grooming services are being performed.
Authorized persons include Woofie’s employees assigned to assist the groomer, cat owners when necessary, and the Client only when the groomer determines that the Client’s presence is necessary for safety, health, or behavioral reasons.
Requests to observe portions of the grooming process may be approved on a case-by-case basis. If the pet becomes distressed, reactive, or unsafe due to another person’s presence, the grooming service may be paused until the van is clear and the groomer can safely continue.
Emergency Veterinary Care During Grooming
If the pet becomes ill, injured, or requires emergency medical attention while in Woofie’s care and the Client cannot be reached, Woofie’s is authorized to seek veterinary treatment as reasonably necessary.
If the Client’s preferred veterinarian is unavailable, Woofie’s may seek care from another licensed veterinarian.
The Client agrees to reimburse Woofie’s for all related veterinary expenses, transportation costs, supplies, and additional service time required, except to the extent caused by Woofie’s negligence or willful misconduct.
Grooming Risk Acknowledgment
The Client understands that grooming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to minor nicks, clipper irritation, skin sensitivity, stress, or temporary discomfort.
These risks are not considered negligence when reasonable care is used.
Woofie’s will report any observed concerns, injuries, or abnormal conditions to the Client as soon as reasonably possible.
Matted Coats, Skin Conditions & Coat Removal
The Client understands that grooming matted, neglected, or heavily impacted coats increases the risk of clipper irritation, skin redness, abrasions, minor cuts, and the exposure of pre-existing skin issues.
Shaving or removing matted coats may reveal hidden irritation, sores, parasites, infections, bruising, or other existing conditions that were not visible prior to grooming.
Woofie’s and the groomer will not be held responsible for clipper irritation, minor nicks, or post-groom skin reactions resulting from matting removal, neglected coat conditions, or necessary shave-downs performed for the pet’s safety and comfort.
Pre-Existing Conditions & Post-Groom Reactions
The Client understands that grooming may expose or aggravate pre-existing medical conditions, including but not limited to ear infections, skin allergies, hot spots, growths, irritations, or other underlying issues.
Woofie’s is not responsible for post-groom irritation caused by pre-existing conditions, environmental allergens, scratching, licking, rubbing, or the pet’s own behavior following the appointment.
Woofie’s will not be held responsible for illness, injury, or accidental death resulting from a pre-existing medical condition or natural events outside of Woofie’s control.
Groom Quality Concerns & Correction Window
Any concerns related to suspected injury, negligence, or health issues resulting from the grooming appointment must be reported to Woofie’s within 24 hours of service completion.
Any dissatisfaction related to haircut length, style, shape, neatness, or overall grooming appearance must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
Woofie’s will make reasonable efforts to correct legitimate grooming concerns at no additional charge when reported within this timeframe.
After 48 hours, additional grooming corrections may be subject to a reasonable service charge.
Additional Grooming Fees
Additional fees may be charged when the pet’s condition, coat, behavior, size, health, or service needs require work beyond the scope of the starting rate.
Examples may include deshedding, dematting, flea or tick treatment, shave-downs, handling fees, excessive coat maintenance, or other services reasonably necessary to safely and humanely complete the groom.
Woofie’s will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client before applying additional charges. However, if the Client is unavailable and the additional work is necessary to safely complete the service, the Client authorizes Woofie’s to proceed and charge accordingly.
Refusal of Service & Ungroomable Pets
Woofie’s reserves the right to refuse, stop, or decline services for any pet that presents a safety risk, aggression concern, parasite issue, serious health concern, coat condition, or behavioral issue that makes grooming unsafe or impractical.
If an appointment cannot be completed for these reasons, an unserviceable pet visit fee of $50 may be charged.
Pet-Caused Injury or Property Damage
The Client agrees to be responsible for property damage or injuries caused by their pet to the extent permitted by law.
This includes injuries to Woofie’s staff resulting from undisclosed aggression, dangerous behavior, or unsafe handling conditions involving the pet.
Woofie’s reserves the right to discontinue services immediately if the pet presents a threat to the safety of staff, the pet, or others.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for your pet.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee of $50.
If the groomer arrives within the scheduled appointment window and is unable to safely access the pet, or the Client is unavailable, the appointment may be treated as a no-show and charged up to 100% of the scheduled service amount.
Repeat no-shows or late cancellations may require prepayment for future appointments.
Client Acknowledgment
By accepting this agreement, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and policies.
The Client further agrees to release and hold harmless Woofie’s to the fullest extent permitted by law, except in cases of negligence or willful misconduct.
